    Description

    I do not know when or where this cheongsam was made--it is a thrift store find--but I do know it was a painstaking labor of love: teeny-tiny stitches expertly hand-sewn with such expertise that it's mind-boggling (at least to me, who has trouble sewing on a button).  It measures 18" armpit-to-armpit, 16" waist, 18" hips and is 55" long from base of the collar in back to hem.  Side slits.  I believe the fabric is reversible rayon satin. The dress has a few flaws: there are several small holes and a couple of small areas where the fabric is stressed (shown in the pics).  They are unnoticeable, but probably should be addressed.
