You are bidding on a large, very rare original antique print from an 1870s French illustrated journal.
It depicts a Newfoundland Dog with Landseer coloration.
It is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture measures about 7 x 10 inches, with a French caption below. There is unrelated text surrounding the print, which could be trimmed for framing.
The French caption reads: Le terreneuve métisse
A full second page is included that has a 4-inch article (in French) on the Newfoundland dog.
Both pages are in excellent condition for the age except for some small fox marks (priced accordingly; see scans).
There is text surrounding the picture that could be trimmed. There is unrelated text on the back of the page.
