Cabinet Card
A Great Vintage
19th Century Cabinet Card!
~ 1887 - Mrs. Rollinson Colburn ~
All items guaranteed vintage: No Reproductions - No Fantasy Items!
Beautiful condition, historic Victorian Cabinet Card.
This measures approx. 6 1/2" x 4
1/4".
Very scarce card especially in this condition.
Out of the very few examples I have seen of this card (most of which are in library collections) this is by far the finest condition example.
"Robinson, married to Washington U.S. Treasury clerk Rollinson Colburn, lived in the Capitol between circa 1870 and her death in 1912. In 1887 eight of her works, some based on her own eye-witness accounts during the 1870s, showing African American life in the city were published as a collectible series of photographs."
This card is sharp and flat.
No rips or creases, no paper loss.
Remember, we sell vintage and antique items and even un-used items can be prone to the effects of aging.
This is why you will not see the term “Mint” in our listings. And although we make every effort to accurately describe our items, we may on occasion unintentionally miss something.
With this in mind, much of our feedback comments that our items are "as described" or even "better than described”.
