    Here is a rare and desirable 1872 Curly Haired Man charm for sale. This California Gold token type is highly prized by collectors and is always in demand. Piece is made of solid gold and is in circulated condition. Please read on for more information.
    This gold piece is catalogued by Mike Locke as an 1872 Octagonal California Gold 1/4. It has a Curly Haired Man obverse and a California Gold with Stars reverse. This is the no dot, large CHARM variety. This rare token is not denominated and was struck in the given year of 1872 by Frontier & Belemere.
    This gold piece is smaller than a dime and weighs .23 grams. It is believed to be made of 12K to 14 Karat yellow gold. Jay Roe stated that some issues may be pure gold plate upon a solid 9K core. In any case, there is just a wee bit of gold in this tiny treasure!
    This token is in lovely circulated condition. It is very attractive and displays good color with light wear and toning. Charm is looped for supension as shown.
